G. D'Alessio obtained a Master's degree in Classical World Urban Planning from the University of Roma Tre, with a thesis titled "Techniques of Surveying in Comparison: The Case of Ponte Loreto". He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Salento, focusing on the analysis of ancient architectural structures and surveying through photomodeling and laser scanning.
